Wellness Management

Long-term wellness. Rooted in health.

Providing healthcare is more than treating illness when it arises - it’s about supporting your overall well-being, preventing chronic disease, and helping you feel your best every day.

I blend traditional medicine with a root-cause, functional approach that focuses on prevention, lifestyle optimization, and personalized, sustainable strategies to support your long-term wellness.

The goal is to build a collaborative partnership where we work together to create personalized, thoughtful plans that empower you, provide ongoing support, and help you take control of your health, both now and in the future.

  • Healthcare tailored to your unique needs.

At Blue Zone Health and Wellness, I believe great healthcare means more than just treating illness - it’s about helping you feel your best and stay well.

The Wellness Management model combines the best of traditional and functional medicine, giving you direct access to a personalized plan and care that’s proactive, not rushed.

Whether you're optimizing performance or managing a health challenge, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

  • Healthcare that is as flexible and convenient as your life demands.

Virtual services allow for secure texting through the patient portal, phone calls, or video visits - no waiting rooms, no phone trees.

Whether you're managing a stable chronic condition, dealing with a minor illness, or working on long-term wellness goals, accessibility is built into your plan of care.

  • Simple, Transparent Pricing.

I keep things straightforward so you can focus on your health, not confusing bills. At Blue Zone Health and Wellness, I do not accept insurance, which means no deductibles, no surprise charges, and no red tape.

Instead, I offer a clear, upfront pricing model.

It’s important to take the time to understand your full story - your health history, current concerns, and the lifestyle factors that shape your well-being.

Whether you’re focusing on prevention or working toward specific wellness goals, I’m here to support you with personalized, integrative care that fits your life.

How it works

Step 1 - BZHW initial consultation

This is the required starting point for all new Blue Zone Health and Wellness patients. It must be completed before enrolling in a membership or scheduling à la carte visits. The process may involve one or two visits, depending on your needs.

Visit 1 - We’ll take a deep dive into your health. This visit includes a thorough review of your health history, current symptoms or concerns, any previous lab results, medications and supplements, lifestyle factors, and wellness goals. Based on this evaluation, we may recommend lab work to further explore your health status.

Visit 2 (if needed) - A follow-up appointment will be scheduled to review your lab results and discuss next steps. This visit may also include guidance on medications, supplements, or additional testing/follow-up.

Option 1 - Wellness Management Membership

Ongoing support for those who want a trusted partner in their health journey includes:

  • A concierge-style approach

  • Direct access to care via video, phone, or secure text

  • One follow-up visit, scheduled every three months

  • One monthly check-in via secure text - a great way to ask quick questions, share updates on your progress, or clarify any part of your care plan between scheduled visits

  • Six acute visits per calendar year to address your concerns when you’re not feeling your best

  • Wearable Health Data Movement & Recovery Assessment – Provided once every three months during your scheduled follow-up visit

  • Lab monitoring and interpretation of results. Lab costs are not included in monthly membership pricing and will vary from patient to patient. You may use your HSA/FSA/credit/debit card to pay for labs.

  • Screenings and assessments to detect potential health concerns early and keep you on track with your health goals

  • Health Coaching & Lifestyle Counseling – Guidance to improve nutrition, movement, stress resilience, and sleep, all with the goal of helping you feel your best now while preventing future health issues

  • Prescription medication management, if needed

  • Convenient self-scheduling via the Patient Portal

  • Flexible Appointment Times – Early morning, evening, and weekend hours beyond the traditional 9-5

  • Referrals to specialists as necessary

Option 2 - Wellness Management, Non-member

After completing your initial consultation, you can schedule visits on an as-needed basis.

This option is ideal if you’re not enrolled in a membership but would like occasional support.

Please note: it does not include quarterly check-ins or monthly secure text messaging; however, if you need a follow-up to review lab results, the second visit is included.

Routine Labs allow us to understand what’s going on beneath the surface.

Routine labs include key markers like blood count, cholesterol, metabolic health, thyroid function, and more.

Routine lab markers:

CBC

Purpose: A screening tool that can be used to uncover hidden infections, monitor chronic conditions, track response to treatment, and provide early warning for more serious disorders.

Includes: Red blood cells, white blood cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit, and platelets.

Metabolic Panel

Purpose: A blood test that evaluates multiple aspects of your body’s chemistry and organ function. Helps detect underlying health issues, monitor chronic conditions, assess medication effects on organs, and guide further evaluation or treatment.

Includes Sodium, potassium, chloride, bicarbonate, calcium, glucose, creatinine, and blood urea nitrogen.

Kidney Function Tests (Renal Panel)

Purpose: Assesses kidney function and helps detect potential kidney disease.

Includes: Creatinine, BUN, eGFR, and electrolytes.

Liver Function Tests (LFTs)

Purpose: Monitors liver health and detects potential liver disease or damage.

Includes: ALT, AST, ALP, bilirubin, total protein, and albumin.

Thyroid Function Tests

Purpose: Evaluate thyroid health and function, essential for metabolism regulation.

Includes: TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone), Free T3, Free T4.

Lipid Panel

Purpose: Assessment of cardiovascular health, identifies risk for heart disease or stroke, guides treatment decisions, and monitors the effectiveness of lifestyle changes or medications.

Includes: Total cholesterol, HDL (good cholesterol), LDL (bad cholesterol), and triglycerides.

Vitamin D Level

Purpose: Assesses vitamin D status, essential for bone health, immune function, and overall wellness.

Hemoglobin A1c

Purpose: Measures your average blood glucose (sugar) levels over the past 2–3 months. Commonly used to screen for pre-diabetes and diabetes, monitor how well blood sugar is being managed in those already diagnosed, and serve as a key marker of overall metabolic health.

Optional specialty labs are available, and lab panels can be customized to your goals and needs, whether for prevention, managing an existing condition, or optimizing performance.

Elevate your health journey with our

Wearable Health Data Movement & Recovery Assessment

*One assessment every 3 months, available exclusively to Wellness Management members

  • Blend advanced technology with a whole-person approach to help you take control of your health. By integrating tools like Whoop, Fitbit, and Apple Health, we’re able to track key health markers - from activity levels and sleep patterns to heart rate and recovery.

These insights helps me understand how your body is responding day to day, so I can offer personalized guidance that aligns with your goals and lifestyle. It’s about using data to support smarter, more effective care built around you.

  • By reviewing your health data, we may detect early signs of potential issues, fine-tune your fitness and recovery, and create wellness strategies tailored to your unique needs.

The mission is to help you move beyond reactive care and step into a proactive, purpose-driven approach to health, one that supports not just a longer life, but a better one.

  • Tracking key areas like activity, sleep, nutrition, and hydration helps you become more aware of how your daily habits impact your overall health. With that awareness, you’re better equipped to make intentional, informed choices that support how you want to feel.

This kind of proactive approach empowers gradual, meaningful changes - whether it’s moving more, improving your diet, or simply staying better hydrated. Small steps can lead to lasting, life-enhancing results.

  • At Blue Zone Health and Wellness, we take a holistic approach — looking at every part of your life to support your full well-being. By combining personalized care with smart health tracking, we help you make informed choices that align with your goals.

Whether it’s movement, nutrition, sleep, or recovery, our services are designed to meet you where you are and guide you toward a healthier, more balanced life — with the tools and support to make it sustainable.

This Approach Isn’t for Everyone

Wellness Management gives you more time, access, and personalized support - but it only works if you’re willing to be an active part of the process.

This model is different from traditional healthcare. It’s not rushed. It’s not transactional. It’s built on relationships, ongoing conversations, and a shared commitment to your long-term well-being. I’ll show up fully for you, but I ask that you do the same.

If you’re looking for a quick prescription or a once-a-year visit, this may not be the right fit. But if you’re ready to take ownership of your health, you want a provider who knows your story; I’m here when you’re ready.

 FAQs

  • Blue Zone Health and Wellness does not accept insurance. The model is built to simplify healthcare by removing the red tape of insurance billing, so we can focus on what matters most, you.

Instead, I offer a straightforward monthly or annual payment plan.

You’re still free to use your insurance for things like specialist visits, hospital care, or regular prescriptions, but everything provided through your Blue Zone Health and Wellness membership is exclusively covered by your membership fee.

For labs, you may choose to use your insurance if your plan allows, but coverage is not guaranteed and depends on your individual policy and the lab’s billing practices. Discounted cash-pay lab pricing is always available.

  • Yes, I recommend carrying at least a high-deductible health plan (HDHP) alongside your Blue Zone Health and Wellness membership. While your membership covers our wellness services, an HDHP helps protect you in case of emergencies, hospital visits, or specialist care.

It’s important to note that your membership with Blue Zone Health and Wellness is not health insurance.

  • Yes, I accept HSA and FSA cards for eligible services. However, coverage is not guaranteed, as benefits/eligible services vary by plan. It is your responsibility to check with your HSA/FSA provider or plan administrator to confirm your specific coverage before your visit.

  • Unfortunately, no. Federal insurance regulations prohibit me from accepting cash payments from patients who are enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid. If you are covered by either of these programs, I am not legally allowed to process your payments outside of insurance.

If you are not certain whether you are currently covered by Medicare or Medicaid, please let us know before scheduling or submitting payment for labs so we can help confirm your status.
