Why I’m Expanding How I Connect With You: Introducing the Data-Driven Health Rx Podcast

Over the past few months, it has been truly meaningful connecting with so many of you through my email newsletter.

Your replies, your questions, and even your simple “Hey Miguel, thanks for this” messages have been a powerful reminder of why I started this journey in the first place.

As my practice grows, and as I prepare to accept a new round of patients, I've had to take a closer look at how I show up, communicate, and stay visible in a world where most people spend their time scrolling instead of checking emails.

And here’s what I’ve learned.

Half of My Subscribers Never See My Emails

I recently realized that I have almost the exact same number of unconfirmed and confirmed email subscriptions.

That means half of the people who signed up to hear from me… never actually get my emails.

Not because they’re not interested, but because the confirmation step didn’t happen. Due to email rules, I am unable to send anything to them.

So, half of the people who want to hear from me don’t.

And to be honest, that doesn’t work for a small business owner who isn’t running ads, blasting promotions, or reaching out anywhere except this email list.

If my goal is to educate, support, and stay in touch with the community I'm building… I need a better way to reach people.

A Business Without Visibility Barely Exists

I don’t believe every business needs to go viral. Especially NOT MINE. I’m a one-man show, for now,

But I do believe most businesses in 2025 need to be present somewhere, and for me, that means leaning into the digital spaces where patients, community members, and colleagues spend time - Social media.

Over the last few weeks, even with just a few posts, I’ve seen the impact immediately. More messages. More conversations. More people understand who I am and how I practice.

Introducing: The Data-Driven Health Rx Podcast

In today’s episode, I’m diving into a question many of you have asked: Why did I choose a cash-based practice instead of the traditional insurance model?

I’ll walk you through what it’s like to practice under each system, the limitations that led me toward cash-based care, and why I believe it’s the best model for how I want to care for patients.

I’ll still continue writing newsletters because they’ve brought some really meaningful conversations into my inbox.
